Major Dan Conley,
USMC (ret); MA Military Studies (Joint Warfare), BS Interdisciplinary Studies
(History, Political Science, Psychology, Business), currently pursuing a PhD in
Management
In his many years of Service
with the US Marines, Dan has served at every operational level from Rifleman in
a fire team to Strategic Planner at the combatant command level.
His knowledge of how the military functions is rooted in decades of
practical experience and application.
Dan has served as both a certified tactics instructor and is well versed
in the tactical, operational and strategic levels of war. Having served as an
instructor and liaison to militaries around the globe and all of the Services in
the U.S., Dan has a deep appreciation of how to view issues from multiple
perspectives. As a trained process analyst and planning instructor, Dan is able
to break complex issues and activities down into their component parts, identify
their qualitative and quantitative relationships, and then construct viable
models to represent them.
John Callahan;
MA U.S. Foreign Policy, BA Political Science, currently pursuing a PhD in
International Relations
John brings years of public
affairs service with the US State Department, Directorate of National
Intelligence, US Joint Forces Command, and most recently with the US
Transportation Command for the Joint Staff and decades of gaming experience to
the team. A trained historian,
John’s in-depth knowledge allows the team to ground its concepts in historical
fact. His passion for many genres of gaming provides the team with a ready
resource to validate game design concepts.

Bob Vance, USAFR (Ret); Program lead Defense Readiness Reporting System
(Navy)
Bob’s decades of both military
service and miniature wargaming experience has provided the group with
exceptional clarity and innovative solutions to some of our most vexing game
design issues. Bob is the team’s
computer interface expert and his software development skills have taken Excel
out of the office and placed it squarely on the gaming table.
John Wolfe; AA
Art
John gets things done.
His vast knowledge with mechanical apparatus be it restoring aircraft for
the Virginia Air and Space Center or executing engineering operations for the
City of Hampton, John’s knowledge of how things really work has allowed the team
to produce some exceptional games over the years.
A skilled modeler and artist, John’s models never cease to wow.
John is also an armorer and has an amazing depth of knowledge on weapons
and their effects. When coupled with
his deep knowledge of WWII operations, John provides the team with context and
reality.
Mike Merz; BS
Physics
Mike is our hard science guy.
He provides the advice on how things should act in our worlds when we are
establishing game systems. His
decades of gaming experience provides a good sounding board for the teams
concepts and ensures we do not go too far over the edge when designing our game
environments.
